Milestones
Since 1969, Nicola Gervasi had a vision: He would build Gensteel Doors based on the cornerstones of quality, prompt delivery, reliability and professional service. This would serve him well over the years as he grew the company from a one-man operation to a thriving business with three manufacturing facilities serving all of North America. Seven decades later, succeeding generations of Nicola’s family continue to ensure his vision is built into every Gensteel door.

What’s in a Name?
Gensteel is derived from combining first letter of the Gervasi family name, with the first letters of the names of its two founders, Elisabetta and Nicola, and then adding our core material, steel. The first part of the hardworking name also doubles for “gen,” or generation, as our doors are built to last for years and years — just like our proud family business!
